DEP Waste Transporter Authorization Requirements

Any truck with a registered gross vehicle weight of greater than 17,000 pounds, or any truck weighing greater than 17,000 pounds, that is used to transport municipal and/or residual waste to a waste disposal facility in the state of Pennsylvania is required to have  DEP Waste Transporter Authorization.  Likewise, any trailer with a registered gross vehicle weight of greater than 10,000 pounds also need a DEP Waste Transporter Authorization. Disposal facilities may not accept a truck or trailer without a required authorization.  Application forms and instructions can be found at:

DEP Tire Transporter Authorization Requirements

Transporters who pick up and/or deliver waste tires within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are required to be authorized by DEP. Application forms and instructions can be found at:  Tire Authorization Forms
