Juror Instructions

Good morning/afternoon/evening,

This is the Lycoming County Court Administrator’s Office with instructions for jurors summoned for the August 31, 2026 through September 25, 2026 selection.

Juror instructions for September 1, 2026 are as follows:

  • Jurors 653 through and including 825 report at 8:45 a.m.
  • Jurors 826 through and including 1091 report at 9:00 a.m.
  • Jurors 1092 through and including 1266 report at 9:15 a.m.

  • Jurors 1267 through and including 1526 report at 12:45 p.m.
  • Jurors 1527 through and including 1697 report at 1:00 p.m.
  • Jurors 1698 through and including 1866 report at 1:15 p.m.

  • Jurors 1867 through and including 2020 report at 1:45 p.m.
  • Jurors 2021 through and including 2192 report at 2:00 p.m.
  • Jurors 2193 through and including 2356 report at 2:15 p.m.

 

Again, all other jurors (2357- 4100), please call or check this website again on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 after 5:30 pm for your juror instructions

Reminders for Jury Selection

  • Courthouse doors open at 8:30 a.m.
  • Cell phones and all electronic devices are prohibited in the Courthouse, please leave them at home. 
  • You may bring a plastic water bottle and a snack, but NO glass bottles or containers are allowed in the Courthouse. You may also bring a book or magazine to occupy your time during any periods of inactivity.
  • As explained on the back of your Summons Letter, please park in the parking garage at 115 W. Third Street across from the Trade & Transit Center and please park on the 3rd floor or higher.
  • If you are unable to appear for an unexpected illness-related reason please email the Office of the District Court Administrator at juryinfo@lyco.org
  • Jurors called to report in the morning, please plan to remain at the courthouse until lunchtime.
  • Jurors called to report in the afternoon, please plan to remain at the courthouse until 5 p.m.

To request a deferral, excusal or a day certain, please refer to the green sheet that came with your summons or follow the below instructions.

  1. Any request must be made in writing via email (preferred) at Juryinfo@Lyco.org, fax, or mail.  Please see contact information below.  Telephone/verbal requests will not be honored.
  2. The Court will only consider serious and substantial reasons for excusal.
  3. If your request is based on a medical issue, please include a physician's note.
  4. All requests must include the following:  your name, telephone number, mailing address, Juror ID#, and the reason(s) you cannot serve.
  5. Review your Summons Letter for the last day requests are accepted.

DON'T GET SCAMMED!

ATTENTION:  The Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office will not call you if you missed jury duty. Do not divulge your personal information to anyone telling you that you did not appear for jury duty. Specifically, do not provide the caller with your credit/debit card or driver’s license information or your social security number. 

Protect Yourself Against Jury Duty Scams - court officers will never ask for payment, a credit card, or social security number for failure to appear for jury duty.

DO NOT give out Personal information by phone or email

Report suspicious activity immediately to your local law enforcement agency.
