Certification Courses
The LTS EMS Regional Council is an accredited educational institute certified by the PA Bureau of EMS, a division of Department of Health. The LTS EMS Regional Council offers Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification courses. These courses are offered utilizing grant funds specific to Rural Education. Course fees will be advertised on each program flyer when posted. Enrollment is open to any and all over the age of 16 at the start of the class, however priority seating will be provided to individuals who are active with an Emergency Agency in the LTS EMS region. Followed by individuals who reside in the LTS EMS region, then individuals who are active with an Emergency Agency outside of the LTS EMS region and then any other individuals.
Public Information & Education
The role of EMS providers and personnel, in preventing injury and illness, is critical to a functioning EMS system. EMS personnel should partner with the local prevention community whenever possible. It is the LTS EMS Council's goal to mobilize our EMS Personnel to serve as ambassadors within their respective communities and organizations.

Poison Control Center
Link to the National Poison Control Web Portal. Download poison information, fact sheets, statistics, or order poison control resource materials on-line. Calling the National Hotline will connect callers with the closest center to their geographic location.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
PENNDOT has created this site for teen drivers.On it, eight young drivers share their stories of driving tragedies (or near tragedies).When you click on one of the drivers you'll hear some of them tell their story as key phrases appear on the screen. After each story ends you can take a quiz ondriving skills. You can also jump right to the quiz for each driver.
