Genealogy
We are pleased to do simple genealogy requests from the Register and Recorder Office, if we have the time and adequate information available to us. For more involved genealogical projects, please consult outside sources. For example, the Taber Museum is a good source of information in Lycoming County (570-326-3326). In addition to personal research, the museum is a helpful resource on residential (housing) research in addition to business historical research. History@DevelopingHistory.com is an email address for the museum. Also try https://tabermuseum.org/collections-research/genealogy. The James V. Brown Library (570-326-0536) is also a major source for genealogical information. Of course, there is always the Genealogical Society (LCGSgen@aol.com).
We do provide some information to aid genealogical searches. Below is what can be found at our Register and Recoder office.
